On January 15th, 2011, Al gave a sold-out, solo concert at The Registry Theatre in Kitchener, Ontario. One of Canada's greatest record producers, Paul Mills and the Millstream Studio were there to make a multi-track recording of the event. Al has just done a voice-over for PetroCanada and recently completed another in a series of voice projects for Nokia, the world's largest producer of mobile phones.
Al is currently writing several books.
The current favourite to see the light of day first is a memoir of Tanglefoot's last year on the road;
Much in demand for years has been a Tanglefoot song book.
Two are children's reference books (one scientific, one historical)
One is a self-help book for musicians.
Another is a novel.
